Menu Plan Monday

Since I started couponing I have found that planning out our weekly menu is a quick way to save because we are not going to the store multiple times a week. Also, by having meals planned we are able to reduce eating out. We used to eat out several times a week and since menu planning we only eat out about once a month now.

Last week was different because we traveled back to visit my family, so I went grocery shopping in the middle of the week and did not menu plan. Which of course cased us to spent more than I like to for our weekly food, so I am planning this weeks meals based on food we already have and will try to not go shopping this week unless for a few staples.

Breakfasts: homemade yogurt (more info on this later), oatmeal, cereal, eggs, and muffins (I am planning on trying these muffins sometime this week)

Lunch: soup, mac & cheese, pizza, pesto pasta, chicken nuggets, and leftovers

Dinners:
Monday - Jambalaya (my husband's recipe)

Tuesday - Fondue night with small group from church, yummy!

Wednesday - Spaghetti

Thursday - Grilled steak

Friday - Homemade Pizza (this is the crust I will be making)

Saturday - Hamburgers

Sunday - Chicken Fajitas

After typing our meals up I realized this will be a pretty boring week. I usually try at least one new recipe a week and did not put anything new in this week. Well, I guess our Fondue night should make up for that.
